In 1992 with a Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife grant, city funding and community support, the Mack Jamison Park located in the southern part of Yoakum took on a whole new appearance. Grant funds provided for the pavilion, restrooms, volleyball and basketball courts, baseball field construction and purchase of playground equipment. Community support came by way of fundraisers that paid for the construction of the BBQ pits. |
