                   A Brief History
In 1977 Rotary Club members, Cliff Hartnett, David Bonnet, Jim Witte and Paul Jacobs decided since three of them played musical instruments and the other had the ability of an announcer, they could present a talent show to raise money for Rotary. In September 1977 on the second Tuesday the first "Country Music U.S.A." show went on stage. It featured local talent and about ten musicians.  They performed for two hours to a sell out crowd. It was such a success they decided to do it again the next month.  In September 1999 Country Music U.S.A. celebrated their 22nd anniversary with Jim Witte being their only Master of Ceremonies and the only member of Country Music U.S.A. never to have missed a show.  Cliff Hartnett, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Country Music U.S.A., along with David Bonnet are still active with the monthly show.
